What do I bring to Camp?

The following is a list of necessary (*) and suggested articles.

There is no need to purchase new clothing for camp. Campers should wear outdoor clothing and durable, comfortable shoes (no sandals). Campers sometimes misplace their belongings, therefore please mark all personal items sent with your child.

DO NOT BRING: jewelry, watches, non-disposable cameras, cell phones, pagers, radios, personal CD/tape players (walkmans), boom boxes, gameboys, or any other items in this category.

Transportation/Arrival and Departure Times

Campers will be signed on and off the bus, to ensure camper safety. Parents living close to the campsite are permitted to transport their campers directly to camp, but must follow the time schedule permitted to ensure supervision. Campers, who are not picked up in a timely manner, will either remain at or be transported back to the Renaissance Center, with the parents incurring an additional fee. It is understood that emergencies may occur, and in those cases- timely notification is essential for the camp staff to be able to accommodate a parent and child.

The camp will provide snacks and refreshment drinks daily. Water breaks are additionally encouraged throughout the day at each activity station.

Inhalers and epi-pens may be kept in camper’s possession if permitted by parents, and the camp staff is notified.

Camp deposits are non-refundable.

100% Full refunds will be given only if cancellation of a session is decided by The Renaissance Center.

Partial refunds will be given for withdrawal prior to the start of the year’s camp season or for withdrawal due to illness with a required written physician’s excuse. An expelled camper will lose all deposits for any unattended weeks, and any refund of tuition for the attended week will be prorated.

No refunds will be given for the overnight stay or the parents’ picnic once the reservations have been made, unless the camper is expelled. No refunds will be given to the camper who registers during the late registration period.

Tax Return Information

Final confirmations for campers contain tax information, and will be e-mailed to those providing email addresses or sent through the postal service for those without Internet. It is the parent’s responsibility to retain this document for tax filing.

Lost & Found

Due to labor and expense, items will not be shipped to campers after camp has ended. Any camper belongings left behind at camp, will taken to the Renaissance Center to be reclaimed. When the camp season ends, all remaining items will be donated to a local charity. Camp Renaissance is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
